Wallet Guide

You need a wallet address for the coin you want to mine — it's your username on the pool and where your payout goes. This guide covers every coin we support.

Bitcoin Cash

Getting a BCH wallet

BCH uses the CashAddr format — addresses start with bitcoincash:q or bitcoincash:p. Always use the full prefixed address as your stratum username to avoid ambiguity with XEC.

EC
Electron Cash
Desktop · Windows / Mac / Linux
The most popular BCH desktop wallet. Lightweight, no full node required. Excellent for miners — shows incoming transactions instantly.
Recommended Open source Self-custody
BC

Hardware Cold storage High security
Setup with Electron Cash
1
Download Electron Cash
Go to electroncash.org and download the version for your OS (Windows, Mac, or Linux AppImage). Verify the signature if you can — it's listed on the site.
2
Create a new wallet
Open Electron Cash → File → New/Restore. Choose "Standard wallet" → "Create a new seed". Write down your 12-word seed phrase on paper and store it safely offline. Never share it.
3
Copy your receiving address
Go to the Receive tab. Copy the address — it will look like bitcoincash:qp3wjpa3tjlj042z2wv7hahsldgwhwy0rq9sywjpyy. This is your stratum username.
4
Use the full address with prefix
Always include the bitcoincash: prefix in your miner config. Bare addresses starting with q... are ambiguous between BCH and XEC — the full prefix removes all doubt.
BCH Address Format
bitcoincash:qp3wjpa3tjlj042z2wv7hahsldgwhwy0rq9sywjpyy
Always starts with bitcoincash:q (P2PKH) or bitcoincash:p (P2SH). Use the full prefixed format as your stratum username.

Seed phrase = your coins. Anyone with your 12-word seed can take all your BCH. Write it on paper, store it offline, never photograph it or type it into any website.

Bitcoin

Getting a BTC wallet

BTC has the largest ecosystem of wallets. For solo mining, use a native SegWit address (starts with bc1q) — these are the most widely supported and lowest fee format. Taproot addresses (bc1p) also work.

Setup with Electrum
1
Download Electrum
Go to electrum.org. Download the installer for your OS and verify the signature with the provided GPG key before installing.
2
Create a new wallet
Launch Electrum → choose "Standard wallet" → "Create a new seed" → select SegWit. Write down your 12-word seed phrase on paper and store it offline.
3
Copy your receiving address
Go to the Receive tab. Your address will start with bc1q.... Copy the full address — this is your stratum username.
4
Paste into your miner config
Set URL to btc.solopool.eu:3337 and your Worker/Username to your full bc1q... address. Password can be anything (use x).
BTC Address Formats
bc1qar0srrr7xfkvy5l643lydnw9re59gtzzwf5mdq
Native SegWit (bc1q) — recommended. Lowest fees, widest support.
bc1p5d7rjq7g6rdk2yhzks9smlaqtedr4dekq08ge8ztwac72sfr9rusxg3297
Taproot (bc1p) — newer format, also supported.

Seed phrase = your coins. Anyone with your seed can take all your BTC. Write it down on paper, store offline, never photograph it or type it anywhere online.

eCash

Getting an XEC wallet

XEC (eCash) uses the same CashAddr format as BCH, but with the ecash: prefix instead of bitcoincash:. Always use the full ecash: prefixed address in your miner config to distinguish it from BCH.

XEC forked from BCH in 2021. If you already have an Electron Cash wallet, your XEC address is the same key — just change the prefix. The dedicated wallet is Electrum ABC.

EA
Electrum ABC

2
Create a new wallet
Open Electrum ABC → "Standard wallet" → "Create a new seed". Write your seed phrase on paper and store it safely. Never enter it anywhere online.
3
Copy your ecash: address
Go to the Receive tab. Your address will look like ecash:qp3wjpa3tjlj042z2wv7hahsldgwhwy0rq9.... Copy the full address including the ecash: prefix.
4
Use in your miner
Set host to xec.solopool.eu:3339 and your full ecash:q... address as the username.
XEC Address Format
ecash:qp3wjpa3tjlj042z2wv7hahsldgwhwy0rq9sywjpyy
Always starts with ecash:q. The part after the colon is identical to the BCH address for the same private key — only the prefix differs. Always use the full prefix.

BCH and XEC share the same address format. The bare address qp3wjpa3... (without a prefix) is valid on both networks. Always include ecash: when mining XEC so the pool routes your reward to the correct chain.

DigiByte

Getting a DGB wallet

DGB supports multiple address formats. For mining on SoloPool.eu, use a native SegWit address starting with dgb1q — this is the recommended modern format. Legacy addresses starting with D also work.

Peercoin

Getting a PPC wallet

Peercoin is a hybrid PoW/PoS coin. For mining, you need a standard PPC receiving address. Modern addresses start with pc1q (native SegWit). Legacy addresses start with P.

Since Peercoin also supports Proof of Stake, holding PPC in your wallet can earn you ~1% annual minting rewards on top of any PoW block finds.

PC
Peercoin Core
Desktop · Windows / Mac / Linux
The official Peercoin wallet and full node. Syncs the full Peercoin blockchain (small by modern standards). Required if you want to also stake (mint) PPC.
Recommended Full node PoS staking Self-custody
PP
Peercoin Paper Wallet
Offline key generation
Generate a key pair offline for cold storage. Good for long-term holding. Use the generator from the official Peercoin website or a verified offline tool.
Cold storage Offline
Setup with Peercoin Core
1
Download Peercoin Core
Go to peercoin.net → Downloads. Download the latest release for your OS. Verify the checksum before installing.
2
Sync the blockchain
Open Peercoin Core and let it sync. The Peercoin blockchain is much smaller than Bitcoin's and typically syncs in under an hour on a decent connection.
3
Get your receiving address
Go to File → Receiving Addresses or the Receive tab. Copy your address — it will start with pc1q... (SegWit) or P... (legacy).
4
Encrypt and back up your wallet
Go to Settings → Encrypt Wallet and set a strong passphrase. Then File → Backup Wallet and save the wallet.dat file to a safe offline location.
5
Configure your miner
Set host to ppc.solopool.eu:3341 and your full pc1q... or P... address as the username.
PPC Address Formats
pc1q7ur9dcqpxze3ngkrj5jqr0l26wy8kvavjx9kz5
Native SegWit (pc1q) — recommended modern format.
PNSm1kgnX4cDNDXMRpHn6e9nfkxMVgWLhd
Legacy (P...) — older format, also accepted.

Bonus: PoS minting. Once your PPC block reward arrives, keep the coins in Peercoin Core with staking enabled. Your wallet will automatically participate in Proof of Stake and earn ~1% annual interest — no extra setup required.

Namecoin

Getting an NMC wallet

Namecoin is merge-mined with Bitcoin — your SHA-256 miner earns NMC for free alongside BTC. You need a Namecoin wallet address to receive your NMC block reward. Addresses start with N (legacy) or nc1q (SegWit).

Pool fee is 0% at launch — all NMC block rewards go to your address with no deduction.

NC
Namecoin Core
Desktop · Windows / Mac / Linux
The official Namecoin full node and wallet. Required if you want to use Namecoin's name registration (.bit domains, identity records). Syncs the full NMC blockchain.
Recommended Full node Self-custody Name support
EX
Exchanges
Custodial option
Some exchanges (Bittrex historically, others) list NMC. A custodial address will work for mining but we recommend self-custody with Namecoin Core for any meaningful amount.
Custodial Not recommended
Setup with Namecoin Core
1
Download Namecoin Core
Go to namecoin.org → Downloads. Download the latest Namecoin Core release for your platform. Verify the checksum against the published values.
2
Sync the blockchain
Launch Namecoin Core and allow it to sync. The NMC blockchain is small and fast to sync — typically takes under an hour on a modern machine.
3
Get your receiving address
Go to File → Receiving Addresses. Your address will start with N... (legacy) or nc1q... (SegWit). Copy it — this is your stratum username.
4
Back up your wallet
Go to Settings → Encrypt Wallet, then File → Backup Wallet. Save the wallet.dat file in a secure offline location. This is your only recovery option.
5
Configure your miner
NMC is merge-mined with BTC — point your miner to btc.solopool.eu:3337 and use your NMC address as the username. You earn NMC blocks automatically from the same BTC shares. Pool fee is 0%.
NMC Address Formats
NC4vSVfJZR36RKHQL5bRhQqEbdz14K8frd
Legacy (N...) — standard format, widely used.
nc1qar0srrr7xfkvy5l643lydnw9re59gtzzwf5mdq
Native SegWit (nc1q) — newer format, also supported.

Merge mining = free NMC. If you're already mining BTC on SoloPool.eu, adding NMC costs you nothing extra — the same shares that find BTC blocks can simultaneously find NMC blocks. Configure both in your miner for double rewards from the same hashrate.

General advice
Self-custody always
Never use an exchange deposit address as your mining address. If the exchange goes offline or freezes withdrawals, you lose your block reward. Own your keys.
Write your seed on paper
Seed phrases should be written on paper and stored offline. Never store them in a photo, cloud note, or password manager. Hardware engravers on steel are even better for long-term storage.
One address is fine
You don't need to generate a new address for every block. Reusing your receiving address for mining is normal and does not meaningfully reduce privacy in this context.
Validate your address first
Before configuring your miner, paste your wallet address into our Address Validator to confirm the pool will recognise it correctly.
Address Validator → Setup Guide →
