Privacy Policy
Short version: We collect as little data as possible. We do not sell data. We do not require an account. The only data we process is your BCH wallet address (used as your mining username), your miner's IP address, and standard server logs. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
1. Who we are
SoloPool.eu is a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) solo mining pool operated from the European Union. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: [email protected]
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate the mining pool:
- BCH wallet address — you provide this as your mining username when configuring your miner. This is how we identify your miner and send payouts.
- Worker names — the optional label after the dot in your username (e.g. .bitaxe1). Used for display purposes only.
- IP address — logged when your miner connects to our stratum server. Used for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Share data — timestamps and counts of shares submitted by your miner. Used to calculate your hashrate and pool statistics.
- Standard web server logs — when you visit our website, our server logs your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Standard practice for operating any web service.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identification. We do not require registration or login.
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data under the following legal bases as defined in Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating a mining pool requires processing connection data, IP addresses, and share submissions. This is the minimum necessary to provide the service.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — when you connect your miner and receive a payout, we process your wallet address and share data to fulfill our part of that transaction.
4. How we use your data
- To operate the stratum server and process mining shares
- To calculate and display pool statistics (hashrate, miners online, blocks found)
- To display per-miner statistics on the Miner Stats page
- To send block reward payouts to your BCH wallet address
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam connections, and attacks on our infrastructure
- To troubleshoot connection issues when reported
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the pool.
5. Data retention
- IP address logs — retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
- Share data — retained for 90 days to support hashrate calculations and stats.
- BCH wallet address and block history — retained indefinitely as part of the permanent block record. Block payouts are on-chain transactions and form part of the public BCH blockchain.
- Web server logs — retained for 14 days.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell data to any third party. We share data only as follows:
- BCH network — block submission broadcasts your wallet address as the coinbase recipient to the entire BCH network. This is public and permanent by the nature of how blockchain works.
- Infrastructure providers — our server hosting provider processes data as a data processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Legal obligations — we may disclose data if required by EU or member state law.
7. Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Our website may use a single technical session cookie to maintain basic website functionality. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking scripts.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
As a person in the EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data where legally possible
- Right to restriction — request that we limit how we process your data
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Note: your BCH wallet address and block payouts are part of the public blockchain and cannot be deleted from the Bitcoin Cash ledger. We can delete our internal records but cannot reverse on-chain transactions.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
9. Security
We use TLS encryption for the website and offer TLS on our stratum server (port 3334). Our infrastructure is located in EU datacenters. We apply standard security practices including access controls, logging, and regular updates.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the website and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the pool after changes means you accept the updated policy.
